Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) finally achieved European glory by winning the 2024–25 UEFA Champions League — a landmark moment in the club’s history. But aside from lifting the trophy, the financial rewards that come with such a triumph are equally eye-catching. Here’s a breakdown of how much PSG earned through the competition and what other financial benefits came their way.

Prize Money from UEFA

UEFA distributes prize money to clubs at various stages of the Champions League, and the deeper a club progresses, the higher the earnings. For PSG, who went all the way and won the final, the direct financial return from UEFA was substantial.

Matchday Revenue

Home matches, especially in the knockout stages, are lucrative events for clubs like PSG. Ticket sales, VIP suites, merchandise, and food and beverage sales all contribute to matchday income.

With three home games in the knockout stages (Round of 16, Quarter-final, Semi-final), PSG could have earned anywhere from €12–20 million in matchday revenue, depending on ticket pricing and attendance.

Sponsorship and Commercial Uplift

Winning the Champions League typically boosts a club’s appeal to sponsors and commercial partners. PSG’s global brand has already been strong, but the added credibility of a Champions League title will likely lead to new deals or improved terms with current sponsors.

While hard to quantify immediately, the commercial uplift from winning Europe’s biggest club competition could result in tens of millions of euros in future revenue.

UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup Earnings

By winning the Champions League, PSG also qualified for two additional lucrative competitions:

They will face the Europa League winners in the UEFA Super Cup. Simply participating brings in €4 million, with a further €1 million bonus if they win.

2025 FIFA Club World Cup

The newly expanded FIFA Club World Cup will take place in the United States, featuring 32 clubs. The total prize pool is expected to be close to $1 billion, with the winner reportedly earning up to $100 million. PSG’s Champions League title ensures their participation, making this another potentially massive payday.

Final Estimate: Total Earnings from Champions League Win

Taking into account all sources — UEFA prize money, market pool, coefficient bonus, matchday revenue, and additional competitions — PSG is projected to have earned:

Between €120 million and €140 million from their 2024–25 Champions League win.
