After a long wait of three weeks, it’s time to see Checo Perez at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, in Imola.
Things cooled down a bit in Formula 1 after the first race of the year, and we had to wait three weeks for the second race of the 2021 season to arrive, so it’s time to see Checo Perez again at the Imola Grand Prix on his Red Bull RB16B.
Things got very warm at the Bahrain Grand Prix, with Lewis Hamilton winning after an uphill battle with Max Verstappen, as well as Checo’s spectacular comeback after the drama when his car was turned off on the reconnaissance lap.
But after a long wait, the engines are turned on again for the Imola Grand Prix, which for many years hosted the San Marino Grand Prix, in which Ayrton Senna died, on May 1, 1994.
Where can I see the Imola Grand Prix?
Unlike the first Grand Prix of the season, Imola can be seen on television. Free practices will take place on Friday, April 16 at 4:00 and 7:30, respectively, although the good news comes from Saturday.
On April 17, Prince Felipe’s funeral ceremony took place, so Formula 1 made changes in its schedules so as not to distract people from the funeral. In this way, the qualifying session will take place at 7:00 am, and the transmission is provided by Fox Sports 3. F1 announced that a minute of silence will be observed in honor of Prince Felipe.
On Sunday, April 18, race day, the track activity will begin at 8:00 am and Fox Sports 3 will also have the live broadcast.
If those are not hours to get out of bed or you are doing some activity away from TV, the solution is the Formula 1 application, which gives you a seven-day free trial, and if you have already finished that period, the monthly payment is at 119 pesos and covers the next two Grand Prix, in Portugal and Spain. The annual plan costs you 949.
Who are the favorites?
Apparently, in the Bahrain Grand Prix, the title will be contested by Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen, so we will have to pay attention to this grip. Checo Perez and Valtteri Bottas, the teammates of the favorites, can be uncomfortable and therefore complete the podium.
Be careful with Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo, from McLaren, who showed very positive things in the first race, so if Mercedes and Red Bull fail, they are there to take advantage of the terrain that is neglected.
