They Are The 30 Nominees For The France Football Ballon d’Or

France Football magazine released the list of 30 players nominated for the 2021 Ballon d’Or and here are all the names.

Who will become the best player in the world? There are candidates, there is plenty of talent and merits to be the new (or perhaps not) Ballon d’Or of 2021. 30 were chosen by France Football magazine to receive the coveted award.

The current winner of the Ballon d’Or remains in the fight to take his seventh trophy, which he won in 2019, so the throne is not empty yet, but Lionel Messi has serious contenders to worry about. He has already won the UEFA best player award, and it was Jorginho.

To find the winner of the Ballon d’Or, France Football magazine chooses 30 sports journalists to cast their votes on five players they decide following some criteria, ranging from individual and team performances, fair play and talent, and the latest overall evaluation of the player’s career.

Of the five players they choose, the first in descending order receives 6 points , the next on the list receives 5 points, and so on. Once all the points are calculated, the 30 nominated players are classified and in the event of a tie, the player with the most first 6-point selections is declared the winner.
