Cristiano Ronaldo is 40, but don’t tell his body that.
The football legend recently discovered his biological age—thanks to health tracking tech from WHOOP—and it’s left him joking about playing for another ten years.
How Old Is Ronaldo Really? His Body Says Otherwise
Speaking on WHOOP’s podcast, Ronaldo revealed that tests showed his biological age as 28.9—over a decade younger than his real age. These results are based on things like heart rate variability and recovery stats, giving a deeper look into physical fitness than just a birthdate.
“I can’t believe it’s so good. 28.9,” Ronaldo said, surprised. He added with a laugh, “This means I’ll play football for another 10 years.”
Retirement? Not Yet
Ronaldo has previously admitted he’s thought about retirement, but he’s in no rush. “I just want to enjoy,” he said. “As long as I feel motivated, I keep going.”
He’s not making any formal retirement plans—just enjoying his time on the pitch. “The day I don’t feel motivated, I will retire,” he added. “When I decide to leave the national team, it will be spontaneous. No announcements.”
He also ruled out becoming a manager once he’s done with football: “That’s not in my plans.”
Ronaldo has scored 33 goals this season for Al-Nassr and continues to show that age really is just a number—especially when your body still performs like you’re 28.
