The Cleveland Cavaliers continued their dominant run with a convincing 112-100 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday night, extending their winning streak to 14 games. This win not only solidified their place among the league’s elite but also marked their first season sweep over the Bucks since the 2008-09 season, when LeBron James led the franchise.

Balanced Offense Fuels Cleveland’s Win

Despite shooting just 44.3% from the field, the Cavaliers relied on their depth and defense to secure the victory. Eight Cavaliers scored at least nine points, with Max Strus leading the team with 17 points and nine rebounds.

Donovan Mitchell contributed 15 points, while Evan Mobley and Darius Garland each added 13. Jarrett Allen chipped in 11 points, as all five starters finished in double figures. The Cavaliers’ bench also played a crucial role, with Dean Wade, Ty Jerome, and Sam Merrill scoring nine points apiece.

On the defensive end, Cleveland held Milwaukee to 42.9% shooting and limited their perimeter attack, as the Bucks shot just 9-for-31 (29.0%) from three-point range—well below their season average of 38.4%.

Giannis’ Effort Not Enough for Milwaukee

Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with a game-high 30 points and nine rebounds, but his efforts went to waste as Milwaukee struggled to generate consistent offense. Damian Lillard finished with 22 points, while Kyle Kuzma added 14, but the team failed to find rhythm beyond their stars.

The Bucks started strong, keeping the game competitive in the first quarter, trailing just 34-32 after shooting 56.5% from the field. However, Cleveland pulled away before halftime, taking a 62-52 lead into the break behind Strus’ 14 first-half points.

Cavs Maintain Control in the Second Half

Milwaukee attempted a comeback in the third quarter, with Antetokounmpo and Lillard combining for 14 points. However, the Cavaliers maintained their composure, never allowing their lead to dip below four points, entering the fourth quarter ahead 84-77.

In the final period, Cleveland showcased their offensive efficiency, shooting 52.6% from the field. Dean Wade and Isaac Okoro combined for 11 crucial points off the bench, helping the Cavaliers close out the game comfortably.

Cavaliers’ Unmatched Consistency

This victory marks Cleveland’s 54th win of the season against just 10 losses. Over their last 14 games, they have led the league with a 123.3 offensive rating and ranked fourth in defensive rating at 109.3.

The Cavaliers’ dominance continues to make them a formidable force as they inch closer to the playoffs. Their ability to win through balanced scoring and elite defense sets them apart as one of the top contenders in the Eastern Conference.

Cleveland will look to extend their streak and maintain their momentum in their upcoming matchup, while Milwaukee will aim to regroup and bounce back after suffering their second consecutive loss.
