Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry has added another remarkable achievement to his legendary career, surpassing the 25,000-point mark in a thrilling 115-110 victory over the Detroit Pistons. He became just the 26th player in NBA history to reach this milestone and only the 10th to do so with a single franchise.

The historic moment came early in the third quarter when Curry buried a three-pointer off a well-timed screen from longtime teammate Draymond Green. Despite an off-night shooting-wise, Curry’s resilience at the free-throw line propelled him to a 32-point performance, including 13 crucial points in the fourth quarter to help secure the Warriors’ fourth consecutive win. With this victory, Golden State climbed to sixth place in the Western Conference standings.

“It’s incredible. He delivers night after night,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said of Curry’s achievement. “Even when his shot isn’t falling, he finds a way to dominate.”

The Climb Up the All-Time Scoring Ladder

Now standing at 25,017 points, Curry is officially 26th on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. But how much further can he rise? Here’s a look at the next few players within reach:

  • 25th: Jerry West – 25,192 points
  • 24th: Reggie Miller – 25,279 points
  • 23rd: Alex English – 25,613 points
  • 22nd: Vince Carter – 25,728 points
  • 21st: Russell Westbrook – 25,935 points
  • 20th: Kevin Garnett – 26,071 points
  • 19th: John Havlicek – 26,395 points

Given Curry’s scoring ability and durability, he is on pace to break into the top 20 by next season. If he continues to average around 24 points per game, he should comfortably surpass Havlicek within the next year.

Looking beyond that, entering the top 15 is a strong possibility. To do so, he would need to surpass the likes of Paul Pierce (26,397 points) and Oscar Robertson (26,710 points). With a couple of more productive seasons, Curry could even challenge the top 10—a group that includes legends such as Carmelo Anthony (28,289 points) and Shaquille O’Neal (28,596 points).

Could he reach 30,000 points? While that remains a long shot, Curry’s elite conditioning and competitive spirit suggest he has plenty of fuel left in the tank.
