The Baltimore Ravens are adding experience and depth to their offensive line, signing veteran tackle Joseph Noteboom on Saturday.

Noteboom, 29, spent the last seven seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, appearing in 71 career games and making 35 starts. Known for his versatility, he’s played both tackle and guard throughout his NFL career and brings valuable flexibility to a Ravens offensive line undergoing change.

A former third-round pick out of TCU in 2018, Noteboom was part of the Rams’ Super Bowl LVI championship team. While he was once seen as a long-term starter in L.A., injuries slowed his momentum. He tore his Achilles tendon in 2022 and missed significant time again in 2024 due to an ankle injury, limiting him to just four games last season.

Still, when healthy, Noteboom has proven he can step in and hold his own. For a Ravens team looking to shore up depth and provide competition, his arrival makes sense.

Baltimore Continues to Reshape the O-Line

The Ravens have made it a priority this offseason to rebuild their offensive front. After letting last year’s swing tackle Josh Jones leave for Seattle in free agency, Baltimore filled the void with a steady veteran in Noteboom. His presence should ease the pressure on rookies like Emery Jones Jr., Carson Vinson, and Garrett Dellinger—all selected in this year’s NFL Draft.

General Manager Eric DeCosta recently said he sees Jones Jr., a third-round pick, as someone who could contribute at multiple spots right away. Still, a veteran like Noteboom offers immediate insurance and leadership in case injuries strike.

What This Means for the Ravens

By signing Noteboom, the Ravens now have more flexibility as they head into offseason workouts and training camp. He won’t be expected to start right away but will compete for a key backup role—potentially as the team’s top swing tackle who can plug in on either side.

If he can stay healthy, Noteboom has the tools and experience to make a real impact in Baltimore. For the Ravens, it’s a low-risk, smart signing that adds depth and keeps the offensive line competition wide open.
